WOODSHOP

Master of Architecture Studio
Fall 2022
Hand-drawn.

Designed to accommodate 16 workbenches within two class areas, and a series of large tools and machinery, the wood shop is accessible for workshops and independent project spaces. The clerestory windows allow substantial working light while preventing direct sunlight that could damage woodworking projects. Heavy timber construction, made from local doug fir, gives a nod to the primary material used within the building. Circulation is a focal point within the design. Large gateways within the interior and sliding garage doors allow for easy loading and unloading of material.
